Chasing Cherry blossom

As spring is two weeks early this year, we have had to follow the bloom up into the more chilly highlands. Therefore, arriving in Tokyo the first thing we did was to jump on the fast train Shinkansen and head west to Nagano. Well in Nagano we strolled up to the temple area of Zenkoji, where this picture of a cherry tree is taken. The name of it? I’m so unsure that I do not dare to put it in writing on a public blog :-). If you know please tell me.  I wish to find a nice extensive guide to different species of Prunus, in english. Heavy, but not too heavy. And not only with the usual close-ups of the flower petals, but also a good picture of the full tree silhouette and a description of habitat requirements.
